Loupe Code

Build Infor M3 apps by describing them

Tell Loupe Code what you need, whether that's a new H5 app, a script on a standard M3 screen or an XtendM3 extension. It looks up the programs, transactions and fields in your own M3 and builds from those, so what you get actually runs in your environment.

Why it's quicker than the alternatives

Most of what you need to build an M3 screen is already in M3: the transactions, the fields and the roles. Loupe Code reads all of that directly. With most other tools, someone first has to build a connection to M3, and only then can you start on the screen itself.

How it works

You describe what you want, check the result on your own M3, and adjust it until it's right.

01

Describe it

A sentence is usually enough to get started, for example “List customer orders for a customer, sortable by order date”.
02

Loupe Code builds it

It finds the M3 transactions it needs, connects the data and writes the code. You'll see the plan before it starts.
03

Try it in M3

Preview it on your live M3. If something's off, just say what to change. When you're happy with it, share it with your team.

H5 apps

Build complete H5 apps

You describe the app in Loupe, and what you get is a standard M3 H5 app, the same kind a developer would write. It runs in M3 like everything else, it respects your M3 roles, it can be translated into every language your users need, and the source code is yours.

H5 scripts

Add scripts to the M3 screens you already use

Open the screen in Loupe, click where the button should go and click the fields the script should use. Then describe what it should do. You can watch the script run on the real screen before anyone else sees it.

XtendM3

XtendM3 extensions without learning Groovy

Loupe Code builds XtendM3 transactions, tables and triggers. You work on them with the real data from your tables right there in Loupe, so you're not designing from memory or an old spec.

Why it works with M3 when other AI tools don't

A general AI tool has never seen your M3, so it guesses at field names and transactions. Loupe Code is connected to the environments you've set up in Loupe, so it works from what's actually there.

Your real transactions and fields

Including the custom fields your business has added over the years.

It runs in H5

Sign in and security are handled for you, the same way as the rest of M3.

Start small and grow

Build one screen, then add the next one when you need it.

Apps, scripts and extensions

The same tool handles H5 apps, H5 scripts and XtendM3 extensions.

You stay in control

Loupe Code works with the system that runs your business, so we've been careful with it.

You see everything first

You approve the plan before a build starts, and you preview the result before your users can reach it. Nothing is installed in M3 unless you do it.

Automatic checks on every build

Everything Loupe Code writes goes through automated checks before you see it. If it uses a pattern we know causes problems in M3, it gets rejected and rebuilt.

Your connections stay yours

Loupe Code reads definitions from M3, like programs, transactions and fields. Your connections are encrypted per customer and never shared with anyone.

Real code you can keep

Everything it builds is readable source code, and you can sync it to your own git repository whenever you want.

How Loupe handles your data

What you end up with

A lot of tools give you an app that lives on their platform and costs more for every user. With Loupe Code you get a standard M3 H5 app that belongs to you.

No licence to run it

It costs the same whether ten people use it or a thousand, in every environment you have.

It runs inside M3

In H5, with your normal M3 sign in and roles. There's no separate system to host.

The code is yours

It's readable source in your own git repository, and it keeps working if you ever stop using Loupe.

Part of Loupe

Loupe Code comes with Loupe

Loupe Code is the Code tab in Loupe, the desktop app M3 teams use to compare environments, run bulk automations and explore any table or API. Your Loupe licence covers it, and you pay usage for what you build with Code.

Common questions

Do I need to be a developer?

No. If you can describe what you want, you can build it.

Do the apps need extra licensing?

No. Loupe Code builds a standard M3 H5 app. You need Loupe to build it, but anyone in M3 can run it, in any of your environments.

Who owns what Loupe Code builds?

You do. It's readable source code that runs in your M3, and you can sync it to your own git repository whenever you like.

How is this different from other AI tools?

General AI tools don't know anything about your M3. Loupe Code is connected to it, so it uses your real transactions and fields, and what it builds runs in H5 with your normal sign in.
